What’s Happening This Weekend: Red River Rumble F1 Powerboat Showdown

Get ready for an adrenaline-filled Memorial Day weekend as the Red River Rumble F1 Powerboat Showdown races back into Shreveport-Bossier from May 22–24, 2026! Presented by the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission, this high-energy event will bring approximately 50 high-speed powerboats to the Red River for three days of thrilling competition, entertainment, and family-friendly fun.

Fans from across the region will gather to witness Formula 1 Powerboat Racing—one of the world’s most spectacular forms of motorsports. With a history rooted in over 120 years of American powerboat racing heritage, these races showcase incredible speed, precision, and excitement on the water.

Best of all, general admission is FREE, making this an unforgettable weekend event for locals and visitors alike. For those wanting an upgraded experience, VIP tickets are also available and include:

Friday, May 22

The excitement kicks off with registration, testing sessions, press events, and the official Block Party featuring driver meet-and-greets and a police escort parade to the pit area.

Saturday brings qualifying rounds, opening ceremonies, and multiple heats featuring Formula 1, Formula Lights, Talent Cup, and Tri-Hull racers battling it out on the Red River.

Sunday, May 24

Championship Sunday features final heats, intense racing action, and the awards presentation immediately following the races.
